The "International Tunnelling Awards Ceremony" took place in Hong Kong on December 1st, 2011.  The Brightwater Conveyance System Project received the important award "Highly Commended" in the category "Tunnel Project of the Year".  BABENDERERDE ENGINEERS was active as a part of the design team led by Jacobs Associates and MWH in the tunnel alignment, the lining and the TBM and tunnelling specifications.
During the construction period BABENDERERDE ENGINEERS supported the Client with technical consulting services.  Additionally the excavation works of all employed TBMs were monitored by the software system Tunnelling Process Control (TPC).
